As many of you know, the Columbia Asset Management team is made up of a group of us that are passionate about the work we do. We’re more than happy to help our wonderful clients and we enjoy spending time with one another while getting the job done. As Brian’s daughters have been known to say, going to work is like hanging out with friends all day.
While Linda and Charlie have transitioned to leadership roles alongside Brian, he was the ringleader in the idea of having a team-building trip to reward everyone for their hard work. This created an opportunity for us to do some of the fun things together that we all love to do individually: travel and eat!
The group decided on a long weekend visit to Napa Valley in the middle of November. Linda and her husband, Randy, have both been to Napa Valley before, so they graciously planned out our itinerary, coordinated travel, and managed restaurant and wine tasting reservations. Brian, Charlie, and Kory scoped out the options for exercising and booking spa appointments. Christen and her husband, Ian, got themselves to Detroit (from Indiana) so they could travel with us.
We lucked out on the weather for our trip: we had warm and sunshine-filled days to accompany our winery tours and bright, starry nights for our fabulous al fresco dinners.
We rented a very utilitarian van to carry the seven of us (and our luggage) to our various destinations. It was not only perfect for transport, but allowed us to appreciate the beautiful views and great company.
^^just look at this baby
The food, wine, and scenery were outstanding – but some of the best memories are of the conversations, quick-witted commentary, and many, many bouts of laughter (most of which took place in the van!). Thank you for the trip, B! We are all so lucky to be a part of CAM!
