Brian H. Weisman, President
Brian has been a professional money manager since 1993. Serving as editor of The Stockboy, a quarterly investment newsletter started in 1990. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Michigan, and a Masters of Science in Accounting from Eastern Michigan University.
Brian is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
Brian has served on the Board of directors for a variety of nonprofit local organizations, including Arbor Hospice, Shelter Association of Washtenaw County (President), Ann Arbor Transportation Authority (Treasurer and Chair), Lurie Terrace, the Cancer Support Community, and International Child Care.
Brian is a MENSA member, a black belt in Karate, a gardener and a golfer, has run marathons (well, two, and no more to come), and is an ever-busy Dad.
Linda Meadows, Principal and Chief Compliance Officer
Linda is registered as an Investment Advisor Representative in the State of Michigan and is currently working on her CFP designation. Linda first came on board with Columbia in 2005. She was born and raised in Sweden, where she received an associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering prior to moving to Ann Arbor in 1996.
She worked for a manufacturing firm in Saline, MI, as a design engineer before redirecting her educational and career focus to economics and finance. Linda graduated with a Bachelor of Art in Economics, from the University of Michigan in 2003 and attended an MBA program in Orebro, Sweden in 2004 before settling down in Ann Arbor.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, traveling, cooking, and staying healthy and active.
Christen Sando, Senior Financial Analyst
Christen joined Columbia in 2010 and she is registered as an Investment Advisor Representative in the State of Michigan. She was born and raised in Kokomo, Indiana, and graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington with a Bachelor of Science in 2006. She worked as an account manager for an independent health management company in Indianapolis, Indiana before she moved to Ann Arbor in 2010.
The state of Michigan has always been very special to Christen as she spends summers up north with her family on Elk Lake in Elk Rapids, MI. She currently lives in Carmel, Indiana with her husband and two sons, working remotely for Columbia. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing tennis, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
Charlie Cook, Principal
Charlie is a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP) practitioner and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA); and she is registered as an Investment Advisor Representative in the State of Michigan. She graduated with her Bachelor of Business Administration in 2008 and Master of Accounting in 2009 from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. Prior to joining Columbia in 2013, she worked as a tax accountant at Ernst & Young in the Financial Services Office in Chicago and New York City, and at Plante Moran in Ann Arbor.
Outside of work hours, Charlie enjoys being a mom, baking, cooking, working out and reading.
Kory Salagean, Office Manager
Kory joined Columbia Asset Management during the summer of 2019 after graduating from Eastern in 2018 majoring in International Affairs and Paralegal Studies. While going to school full-time, she also worked at a childcare center in Ann Arbor where she honed her skills of being incredibly patient, organized and efficient!
Her personal interests include running with her dog, Anya, traveling and reading.
Emma Hutton, Intern
Emma joined Columbia Asset Management as an intern during the winter of 2018 while attending the University of Michigan. She graduated spring 2020 and began working as a full time member of the team in May.
In her free time, Emma loves to run and play soccer, travel, spend time with her friends and family, and read.
